What a gloriously wonderful day. Today we did… nothing. It was perfect. We all needed a day off, none of us have been
sleeping well and our days have been very full.
And poor Camille is plagued by a terrible cough that won’t go away
despite a multitude of medicines.
So today we hung around the house and enjoyed
the view. Our apartment has a great view
of the Zugspitz, the tallest mountain in Germany. Will and Jon spent a lot of time coloring and
playing with their Sonic toys in the backyard.
James and I took a walk alone together (what a wonderful thing!). And when James, Camille and Will went out for
groceries, Jon and I had a few sweet hours alone. So we went out on a little date to get some
ice cream. Jon ordered his in
German. J

Thankfully, Will’s rash is finally gone. On the day we went hiking, Will sat in some stinging nettle and it stung his wrist. He screamed so loud we thought he had been stung by a bee. A few hours later we noticed a growing, bubbly rash on his torso. Luckily the owner of our Gengenbach apartment knew what it was and she said that the rash lasted for about three days.

The next morning the rash was gone and we thought he was over the worst
of it. But at lunch Will started
complaining about itching and when I looked under his shirt he was red all
over. We had to rush right over to an
apothecary to buy some antihistamine cream.
The cream helped but we noticed the rash was worse where his clothes
rubbed and when he was exercising. But
today it is completely gone. And now we
are very careful to look out for stinging nettle when we are in the grass.
Auf Wiedersehen!
